Kettering (Ohio) Health has resumed normal operations for many of its core services after a cybersecurity incident disrupted systems across the organization.

Here are four things to know:

  1. In a statement issued June 10, the health system said services such as hospital-based care, outpatient visits, imaging, surgeries and retail pharmacy are now operating as usual. Patient access to MyChart has also been reinstated, allowing users to schedule appointments and communicate with providers.

  2. Phone and call center systems across the organization have been stabilized and are fully functional.

  3. The incident, which began May 20, prompted a system-wide response focused on maintaining patient care while restoring essential functions and securing IT infrastructure.

  4. Kettering Health said it is continuing to investigate the scope of the breach and is working to identify any compromised data. Individuals whose information may have been affected will be contacted directly, the system said, and may be offered resources such as credit monitoring or identity theft protection.
