Dr. Sander Connolly, Jr. named American Association of Neurological Surgeons president

Sander Connolly, Jr., MD, is the new president of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the organization said May 28.

He is chair of neurosurgery at the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University in New York City and surgeon-in-chief at he New York Neurological Institute and the New York Presbyterian Hospital / Columbia Irving Medical Center. 

Dr. Connolly’s clinical focus includes cerebrovascular surgery, neurological critical care and revascularization procedures for brain conditions.
